Interesting tidbit

When Mrs. Warne and Mrs. O'Roarke are discussing the case, Mrs. O'Roarke mentions seeing fingerprint switching in a Ginger Rogers film. She says the title is "View Midnight", I think. But, there is an odd edit/cut right when she vocalizes the title. Rogers did do a film with William Powell titled "Star of Midnight" (1935). It's also a RKO production, so I wonder why they'd change the title? Haven't seen that one, so I have to ask, is there fingerprint switching involved in that film?

All the other films this movie references are also RKO productions, of course: Man Alive (1945) and From This Day Forward (1946) - on the marquee of the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, Riffraff (1947) - coming attractions poster, Sinbad, the Sailor (1947) - movie set.
