Duck Soup

I watched this comedic gem for the first time today and I really enjoyed it!It's always a hoot to see Errol put on his funny pants, the first time he cracked me up was during the Four's a Crowd viewing,he really gave me the giggles in that one!And what a pleasure to see some self-sarcasm thrown into the mix,it makes the cinematic experience even more enjoyable.I loved the Robin Hood references, the Tasmanian Devil played himself for the most part of this movie.I'm surprised the Warners didn't hear from the Marx Brothers about the obvious Duck Soup/Santa Claus,homage-sequence.Did Errol really imitate Bogart or did Bogey dub Flynn's voice?

I loved that homage to Duck Soup too. And it was done very well.

I read elsewhere on this site that Bogart dubbed his voice.

The Duck Soup mirror gag was old in vaudeville when the Marx Brothers did it there, they just did it supremely well. "Homage" is a nice word, esp. when it's admitted.
