I just have a couple of quick questions about the ending of the movie.
1. Doc Holliday was not wearing boots at the gunfight and I was wondering when he took them off since he probably had them on while he was on the stagecoach and operating on Chihuaha. So when did he take them off?
2. When they leave the jail Wyatt takes two shotguns and gives them to the mayor and deacon but he takes the shells out first. Does anyone know why.
an answer to the second question: the two men say they arent fighting men (one is a deacon) but that they are willing to help. Wyatt then tells them it is family business. so maybe he gives them guns to look like their numbers are more, but he doenst want them to have to fight.
shareThe mayor and the deacon (with their collars up to hide their faces more) were to give the Clantons the impression that they were Doc and (Virgil? Morgan?) while the real Doc and the other Earp were sneaking from another direction. Before getting too close the leave the street. The Clantons think the real Earp brother and Doc have taken up stationary positions when in fact they are sneaking around elsewhere.
Sorry about the "Virgil? Morgan?" Except for Wyatt I can never keep the others straight.
