Unedited copy?

Does anyone know where I can find a US copy of this movie that does have the "Martin's and Coys" clip still intact? Any help would be appreciated.

reply

It's not available unedited on Region 1. But why don't you try Region 2? It was recently released in the Scandinavian countries of Europe with the Martins and the Coys segment intact!

I expect you're from the US and are reluctant to buy from Europe, but if I were you I'd get a decent PC (thus eliminating the NTSC/PAL problem), install some region free software and order the Region 2 copy of Make Mine Music from www.axelmusic.com, a Danish website. I think they should post worldwide. The cover art of the Danish release is very similar to that of the US Gold Classic Collection. However, the golden band on top is gone. Instead it says "Walt Disney Klassikere". Rest assured that despite the case being covered in Danish, the film is in English. I should know, as I bought it. I live in Malta, Europe ... by the way - and it took the DVD about 4 days to arrive from Denmark. I expect it should take from 1 to 2 weeks to get to the US though.

Hope that helped! :)

i've tried going to axelmusic.com. but the only thing I find of Make Mine Music is that it sais R1. That's region 1 isn't it? I can't find Region 2.

A bit late for a reply, but nevertheless: the DVD on the axelmusic website is indeed the Region 1 version. You can clearly see it on the backcover scan that is provided. There is a DVD version available at http://www.dvdcity.dk/?52X31X3531XA8323232393, but there is no indication that it is uncut.

You can buy a Region 2 Disney DVD of Melody Time at www.dvd-shoppen.com

This is a Disney Sweden release and it has all the segments of the original movie including the 1st segment that was cut in it's entirety from the Region 1 Disney DVDs The Martins And The Coys.

reply

www.dvdcity.dk has the Region 2 Disney DVD and would also be UNCUT too just like the Swedish release. But you have to order in Danish.

If you go to www.dvd-shoppen.com which is a Swedish website you can get this DVD too and you have the choice to order in English.

You might also try converting your current DVD player into a Region Free player.

IF it's possible you can find the instructions to do so at: www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

just type in your make and model to locate instructions if they exist this website will have them.
