TCM (Turner Classic Movies) just broadcast this incredible documentary today. I copied it. I can't be alone. There now must be many copies out there.

Yeah, I think I recorded it on the same day as you. It's an absolutely shell-shocking documentary, and Huston's later film Wise Blood would actually be its polar opposite (Hazel Motes begins as a healthy veteran, and ends as a traumetized one).

It's out on Blu Ray, included in "WWII in Hi-Def" along with other good films from the National Archives.

It's also available on Amazon, just make sure you add "1946" to the title.


That's just my two cents. Take it or leave it. IMHO
