Quick Remake
One of the reviews asked whether a remake of a movie had ever been done so quickly as "The Kid from Brooklyn" remake of "The Milky Way" occured (ten years). Gigi was remade nine years after 1949.

share"A Song is Born", another Danny Kaye movie, was made in 1948 and is a remake of 1941's "Ball of Fire" with Gary Cooper. So that's only 7 years!
shareSpeaking of remakes, I'll bet a second remake would be just as fun as the DK version. It would have to be substantially updated, though, because there really aren't milkmen anymore. But who would star in it?

How about "The Maltese Falcon"? Originally filmed in 1931, remade as "Satan Met a Lady" in 1936, and the famous Bogie version in 1941.....

I know this post is 6 years old but even back in 2007 90% of the movies Hollywood turned out were a Remake of a movie or TV show from the 70's,80's and 90's. Just goes to show that this isn't a new problem with lazy screen writters.
There is more Gravy about you then the Grave. Scrooge.
Ghostbreakers (1940) was remade as Scared Stiff (1953) --- both great versions ---
