Clarence says his title is AS2 (Angel Second Class). So is "S" for "second"? Then what is the "2" for? It is like "Angel Second Second"

I guess. I assume they needed two letters for the joke to work rhythmically.

Just Guessing. Official titles don't always match what people actually call them:
"Angelic Student 2"???

I admit I've wondered about that as well. In the military, a second class private would be PVT2, so Clarence could have said AGL2.
