What is your favorite part of 'Hair-Raising Hare'?

I think everyone's favorite part is when Bugs poses as the chatty beautician doing the "IN-teresting" monster's nails.

"Don't say it hasn't been a little slice of heaven - 'cause it hasn't!" I love that line. Since Bugs does the Groucho walk through much of this film, I wonder if he got that line from him, too.

I'm getting better at spotting the references because I listen to old-time radio. A lot of the references come from there.

One reference I've never been able to figure out for sure is made in a Bugs Bunny cartoon and two Tom and Jerry cartoons.

I wrote about it on this FAQ page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046078/faq. But so far no one has come up with the definitive answer.

Those two scenes tie for for my favorite parts but I love the whole cartoon. A CLASSIC!!!

Have you seen the remake, Water, Water, Every Hare? imdb.com/title/tt0045315/ That cartoon is good, too, but Hair-Raising Hare is easily the better one.

The whole cartoon is dazzlingly written and put together, but of course EVERYONE'S favorite part has to be the "Chatty Beautician" sequence where Bugs "does" Rudolf's nails (he repeats in the sequel "Water, Water Every Hare" by doing the monster's hair).

I always thought the Mad Scientist in the sequel sounded like Vincent Price. And why, in Warner Brothers' revisionist history, did they rename the Monster "Gossamer"? The name makes no sense; he's addresed as Rudolf in the second cartoon. He will forever be Rudolf to me.
