Hola Lizamaría:

In case anybody is interested, the name of the beautiful song sung by Carlos Ramírez (from Colombia) is named "Acercate más" NOT "Ascendete más", as it appears on IMDB. I did not know that Esther Williams was actually singing the song too (to Van Johnson). Ramírez gives his name as "Carlos Julio Hidalgo Acapulco García Ramírez". Ramírez anounces the song as a "Mexican song", but its author, Osvaldo Farrés, was Cuban, not Mexican. Ramírez also sings "Te quiero, dijiste" (by María Grever) to Esther Williams (at the poolside) in "Bathing Beauties".

While the song (Acércate más) is playing in the background, Van Jonson is coming closer and closer to Esther Williams, while the two are dancing. So she says to him (in Spanish): "Esto es bastante cerca. You're close enough (in English)".

There you have it.

Thank you for your help. Did you know you can edit the page and put the correct word?

It sounded as if the singer said it was Acércate te más. Might that be true?

How come I don't see that typo???? It is Acércate más.
There is a beautiful version of this song on YouTube sung by Carmen Castillo, Mr. Xavier Cugat's very first wife. Listen to it!

What I like the most about the 1925 MGM tour is Lon Chaney talking to a fellow actor, unaware that he was being filmed. I also liked the 2 shots of Joan Crawford before she became Joan Crawford. I love her in "Grand Hotel". By the way, I don't remember what "Boneca de Pixe" is.
