I've Just Realized......(SPOILER ALERT!)

........That in the scene when Colonel Cavanagh and Habid kidnap Sherlock Holmes and take him to the garage to kill him.....Colonel Cavanagh gives Habid a cannister of some sort of gas to attach to the engine of the car. He proceeds to tell Habid "It's what the Germans used to eliminate their undesirables."

I've seen this episode of SH dozens of times.....and just realized in that statement....Colonel Cavanagh was making reference to the annilation of the Jews by the evil, filthy nazis!!

Were Colonel Cavanagh and his crew somehow connected to the nazis....did the hidden message in the music boxes have anything to do with that connection, or was it strictly just to get the 'money plates' to put money into their pockets?

Wonder how soon after the liberation and the war was this movie made?
