Joan and Olivia as Emily and Charlotte?

In the trivia for this movie, there is an item that states Warners tried to get Joan Fontaine on loan to play opposite her sister Olivia de Haviland. Given the rivalry and downright hatred between the two, it's no wonder they didn't succeed. I laughed when I read it. I wonder if it's actually true.
