Val Lewtonesque near noir sequel to the original "I Love a Mystery" is nowhere near as campy as the original, in fact it could be called intriguing even though I managed to figure it out before its end. Packard's sidekick this time is almost not cornpone. All in all a good B movie that holds its own well.
