An absurd and not very interesting plot. Jean Gillie is beautiful and is a great femme fatale.
sharei agree. without Gillie (who overacts) this was unexceptional. like a routine universal sci fi meller crossed with noir. not really worth it. why all the fuss?

Bit of a ham though, this lady - and rather one-dimensional (I guess you could say someone like Phyllis Dietrichson in Double Indemnity isn't terribly multidimensional, either, but Stanwyck, an actress leagues above Gillie, makes all the difference there).

She is delightfully psychopathic, very entertaining. Nobody's claiming this is on a level with "Out of the Past" or "Double Indemnity", but it's worth seeing at least once.
