Warner is releasing its Film Noir, Vol. 5 box set July 13, 2010. The eight titles included are: Cornered, Desperate, The Phenix City Story, Dial 1119, Armored Car Robbery, Crime in the Streets, Deadline at Dawn, Backfire.

That's great news. "Cornered" with Dick Powell is a great little thriller, and deserves to be on DVD.

I bought the set when it was released. It's a pretty darn good collection. I'm particularly fond of The Phenix City Story and Deadline At Dawn.
