Highly recommend new DVD from Olive films...

Finally, as of September 4, 2012, we get a decent DVD print of The Dark Mirror . It's currently available at Amazon.com and other sellers. Just make sure it's the American DVD from Olive Films. Excellent quality print, great audio and video, it's one De Havilland fans should really enjoy.

Highly recommended. Directed by master of suspense, Robert Siodmak, and starring Olivia de Havilland as twin sisters suspected of murder, it was released the same year as To Each His Own , marking her return to the screen after her long legal battle with Warner Bros.

Here's a comparison against the previously released Region 2 German DVD: http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film3/dvd_reviews52/the_dark_mirror.htm

I agree it's an excellent film and glad I got this BluRay (and also Olive Films' BluRay release of Joan Crawford's Johnny Guitar with film intro by Martin Scorcese!).

My only gripe is that Olive Films DVDs & BluRays are starting to make an impact now in my film collection, and none with any Special Featurettes or English SDH Subtitles for those of us who are HoH.

I've asked them about this to which they replied that "it's too expensive to put Subtitles onto their releases". I hope they consider it for the future. I'd like to purchase more if they take a bit of time to do this and put a bit more effort into Featurettes or Feature Commentaries.
