Does ANYBODY know how that cane flies into Fred's hands during Putting on the Ritz? Ive scoured the web and it seems that not ONE person has asked himself, "How did they do that in 1946??"

How? There were no computers in 1946.

I don't think I want to go to the pictures. Oh?Why not? I've seen everything worth seeing.

If you slow down the DVD and look closely, you can see the tiny lever that pops out of the floor to push the cane upward.
