Puzzled by the ending (Spoiler)

Am I remembering a different film? I thought for sure at the end of "Blue Skies" that Fred Astaire's character ends up in a wheelchair from his fall, and when I saw the film this evening, he stands up and walks out with Crosby and Caulfield. Seems I also remember his being drunk played up a bit more than it was.

Yes he walks out on his feet. As for a fall I don't know what picture that is?

Fred Astaire's character falls off a set piece during a dance number because he's drunk. It just seemed that I remembered the fall causing a permanent injury, and he's revealed to be in a wheelchair at the end of the film, but I guess I remembered the ending wrong.
