shareNo, but the hat check girl is Noel Neill.

I just watched the movie, and to my ears, that singer sounded so much like Rosemary Clooney; so if it wasn't her, who was it? I agree with you: I always thought that it was a young Rosemary before she achieved solo musical fame ~~ she would have been 18 when The Blue Dahlia was made.
A quote from Wikipedia: "Clooney's first recordings, in May 1946, were for Columbia Records. She sang with Tony Pastor's big band. Clooney continued working with the Pastor band until 1949, making her last recording with the band in May of that year and her first as a solo artist a month later, still for Columbia." Under "Soundtracks" for this movie, there is no mention of who the band was that played at the Blue Dahlia nightclub. Could it have been Tony Pastor's band?
The song, by the way, is "Easy to Remember," by Rodgers and Hart.
I'm pretty sure it's not Rosemary Clooney's voice, but it has similarities.
