Didn't work for me (spoiler)

OK, I'm not actually going to give the story away but for me this was a pretty flat film that plods along so it can throw in 'the twist' in the last five minutes. It's a decent cast, perhaps better than the film deserved though I didn't warm to June Vincent or the poorly dubbed singing.
A lot of folk seem to regard this as a hidden noir classic - for me I'm not even sure I'd label it noir. More of an attempt at a psychological melodrama.
But then again I have to admit that one of these days I'm going to have to sit down and work out my personal definition of noir.
