Yes, I agree...because Val's movies are the best, dark and beautiful all at once. Some may consider them pretentious, and maybe they are, but they still captivate me every time I watch them.
shareI find Val Lewton's movies a bit depressing. This one is a bit lighter because of the witty dialogue but even so the setting can leave a pall over the viewer.
