She's an interesting character -- quite arrogant but, I think, a little older than the 23 years she claims to be. A little closer to thirty, maybe? At least the actress was, I'm sure.

Still, I like her dialogue, especially earlier in the movie. It was well performed by the actress. A lady a bit too flip and careless with her actions and words. She paid for it.
Yes, it was unjust but if she had it to think twice about ...?

Granted, Anna Lee was closer to 30 (33 in fact) in '46, however she always did look younger than her age - twenty years later as a nun in Sound of Music and for years as Lila Quartermaine on General Hospital until her death... at least the last decade in a wheelchair. Beautiful until the end.
