*STEINER: Lost Patrol (The) / Virginia City / Beast With Five Fingers

Thanks for taking the time to post this info!

Now, if only Warner would just release the film on DVD already!

But recent news articles about the industry suggest the DVD market will collapse soon, so I wonder if it's worth even holding out hope. The same goes for CDs with local retailers everywhere going under fast...

I expect we'll all have to purchase stuff using the internet, which isn't the same as walking into a store and grabbing something off the shelf and handing the cash over which will also damage sales since many such purchases are impulse buys. Or just use Netflix and rent titles before long, since Blockbuster announced it's closing a ton of stores, signaling the bottoming-out of the in-person sales/rental market. The music sales industry already is in collapse with the advent of iTunes, et.al. even though they don't carry everything, and ordering foreign stuff is a hassle.

There's always eBay, too. Perhaps the easiest (and for some folks the only) way to find a title like the soundtrack if it has been sold out and not scheduled for repressing.

The good thing is that music downloads are at a price-point that hasn't put buyers off, though they could be considerably less expensive and the industry would sell a good deal more if they considered a price cut on downloads.

When I have some cash, though, I will look for a used copy of this CD title wherever I can get it. I'm so glad to know it was issued.

. . . . . . . . . .
