only acted in four movies and is best remembered for not being forgotten unless you count "This Is Your Life" in which he surprised many of Hollywood's true luminaries when what he really wanted to do was put Whoopie cushions under them. During his funeral, his kids played his favorite recordings of fart records. He truly was one of the greats, talentless hack that he was.

Those are some amusing anecdotes about Ralph Edwards. I'm sure he would have gotten a kick out of them but the truth is he was a very good actor/comedian. He loved playing the bizarre character. He hosted 'Truth or Consequences on radio and was one of the major architects of the classic TV game shows of the 50's and 60's. Pretty good for a gassy, talentless hack. His performance in "The Bamboo Blond" is wonderful.
