Missing Scene with Cagney + Annabella?

There is an 8x10 b&w publicity photo of Jimmy Cagney carrying Annabella and holding a gun at the same time for sale on ebay. It seems to suggest a romantic relation between the two characters as well as a rescue.

No such scene appears in the movie. In the movie there is no romantic relationship between Annabella and any of the other actors. Does anyone know if such a scene was cut from the movie?

It seems odd that they'd cast an attractive French actress and not write a romance story for her. Why shoot a publicity still that has absolutely no relation to what happens in the movie?

Same reason as food advertised in glossy pics is always delicious looking and yet when u buy one and open the box - it never, not ever looks as good as it did in the pic or why toys ads on tv never come with all the cool background scene used. My toys climbing my sofa never look as good as the toys climbing in the ads. "A galaxy far far away" they said, turned out to be right next door. Guess the sad truth is that the powers that be will continue to 'sell' us via false promises. It will all be different when I'm in charge.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the WW II film "Shining Through" which has such a scene?

Talk about missing scenes I recall Jimmy shooting more guys with the death capsule in his teeth and a long track shot before they go to the grave that Jimmy digs
