Hi

Does anyone know what Spencer Tracy plays on the piano when Kate Hepburn is sitting on the stairs and listens?

Hi Missgoddess,
I just finished watching that piano scene (near the end of the movie). I don't know the name of the song, but it was very pretty.

I have a question for you: What is the significance of the high-heeled shoe on the chair in the last scene of the movie? Tracy hugs Hepburn and at the same time turns the shoe over in his hand and then raises his eyebrows. I didn't understand that bit. It was obviously done for comic purposes. Does anyone know exactly what the humor was in that last bit?

Pat (S Tracy) looks at the shoe because 5 minutes earlier he had found a heel that had broken off a lady's shoe, and it might prove to be incriminating to the owner of the matching shoe...

LOVE the extra-clever banter which happens in bursts here & there.. ie when Lucy is describing her job duties at the beginning, and again at the very end of the flick.

Hi,

The name of the song is "Clair de Lune" by Claude Debussy. One of my favorites from my favorite composer.
