The Valley of Decision, 1945

This has been one of my favorite films since it appeared in 1945. With a cast including Greer Garson and a very young Gregory Peck, along with a whole stable of MGM stars, I have been amazed over the years that it has not enjoyed a wide audience. It has been shown on very rare occasions on television; it never was released on laserdisc. It did appear on VHS but whether it is currently available I don't know. Based on a novel by Marcia Davenport, it dramatizes a love affair between a housemaid and the young scionich, steel manufacturing family. I am now wondering if, with your help, some of us can't produce some demand for its DVD release. I would love to see it with a pristine picture and good sound. Is anyone else interested?

I absolutly love this movie, and I too would like to see it available to the public. The performances in this film were amazing and in need of recognition. The story is beautiful, and Im saddened that this movie isnt more well known. I am interested in pushing for it to be released on DVD. Let me know if becomes available to buy on VHS or DVD.

I love this movie so much!! I am reading the book right now and it is very good. I would love it if it came to dvd. Gregory Peck is my favorite actor, and Greer Garson. I am just a teenager but I really appreciate the older movie when everyone my age in into the rated r movies filled with violence, and things like that. So, I am glad that their are other people in the world that love this movie and movies likes this one as much as me.

I just saw this for the first time about a year ago and Im 41. I just finished watching the free version on youtube since I couldnt find anywhere that had it as a video file to download. (No surprise, it would mean someone would have to capture it from a VHS source, re-encode it, and then upload it as a torrent or rapidshare file).

But if anyone's wanting to see it, at least at the present, just go to youtube, it's in 16 parts:
