I can not understand why I am the first commentor on this movie. I came to watch it because I am on a Rita Hayworth movie kick, and this, was really great. She radiates in color.
A sad ending indeed, but, really worth watching.

I just saw it on TCM, and rather liked it. The songs are almost all quite forgettable, but there are some nice dances (especially Mark Platt's audition dances), and the story is an interesting one. Not a forgotten gem by any standard, but more than pleasant. Rita is - of course - beautiful.
