there's no discussion of a poverty row noir based on Hamlet. The writer of the critique on the title page was unaware of this minor point. Not the greatest B ever, but Ulmer was often on the mark. Worth more than one cursory look.

I enjoy this movie as much for its flaws as for its strengths.

The usually affable Warren William is truly creepy here.

I liked it too, and sure it had its flaw but it was worth the watch due to the cast.

Same with me. From start to finish I was hooked. Enjoyed this movie.
