the guy in the boat

I always notice...because he's so distinct-looking...the guy in the "love boat" with the girl during the "It's a Grand Night" production. They even get a couple of lines of song, though their characters appear nowhere else in the movie (same with the couple on the carousel.) He's not listed in the credits. It makes no real difference...just curious as to whether anyone knows who he is. He's starting to look familiar!!!

The young couple in the "love boat" have appeared already when Marge decides to ride on the roller coaster and "Pappy" asks Pat if he will swop seats so they can sit together.

Aha! I guess that's why he looked famliar :-) It doesn't really matter, but I was a little surprised he's nowhere in the credits...some are more minute than that.

I've just found his name - William Frambes - at the end of the credits. He was born in 1923 but seems to have stopped acting in 1952. His "girl friend" is Colleen Gray who went on to do lots of TV parts.

Good detective work, kathleen! I looked at the credits, but must not have read them closely enough. I'll have to put the disk in and watch that part again. I should have recognized Colleen Gray. Again, thanks for taking the time to come up with the answer. Obscure trivia is just too fascinating for me.
