is this the gayest movie of all time?

i think so

they were one male on male bukkake scene short of making this the unsurpassably gayest movie of all time

seriously what is wrong with you people

reply

Hmmmmmm...you might possibly be the gayest movie commentator of all time.

I'm laughing actually.

First off--I love the movie. I really do. It's cheesey, it's funny, but the scores are great, the music is catchy and many of the characters are likable (Abel and Melissa mostly).

However, I think it's one of the hammiest R&H musicals out there.
As for the gay part, I did used to laugh at the scene where McGee is giving Wayne a massage. It was funny and kind of suggestive (maybe I'm being immature. I probably am).

And there's so many little things in the movie.
Example:
The part at Marty's Birthday where Wayne has music and he's right about to sing. When you hear the piano's intro (right before Wayne begins singing), a guest at the party turns to another guest and says, "This aughta' be something." sarcasticly.

I love the movie. It's great and I look back at it with fond memories,
but it's very hammy.

ZING !!! 

"I say,open this door at once! We're British !"

What would Fr. Fitzgibbon and Fr. "Chuck" O'Malley think of such behaviour?

reply

I think you would be hard-pressed to find a movie that isn't 'gay oriented'.

Everything that has ever come out of Hollywood and the entertainment industry seems to have gay undertones.

How in God's name is a movie about a bunch of hicks at a rural state fair a gay movie? I mean, there's a heavy dose of judging, which is what gay bars are about. And, you could make a case for judging pickles and MINCEmeat. But, seriously.

DISCLAIMER: I'm gay. I know these are stereotypes. It was written with my tongue firmly in my cheek.
