William Marshall ("Marty") sings the song when Wayne is dancing with the girl who will break his heart - whose name I can't remember! Everyone on the dance floor joins in and I think I saw a familiar face in the crowd from another musical - "The Gang's All Here" - the young man called "Beezy" who dances and crazy jitterbug with Charlotte Greenwood at the pool party, just after she speaks to a young woman in a green bathing costume - Jeanne Crain.

The girl is Vivian Blaine, who later achieved immortality as Miss Adelaide in GUYS AND DOLLS. There is a bootleg recording of an unused song, "We Will Be Together", that has always been mistakenly credited to Dick Haymes and Vivian Blaine. It sounds more like Vivian Blaine and William Marshall, and I suspect it was meant to be one of the "bandstand" numbers. As to the face in the crowd, it could indeed be the specialty dancer from THE GANG'S ALL HERE- probably a Fox contract player.

Yes and it will stick in your brain till you go MAD. It is one of those songs.
