Anybody catch it last night after...

..."And The Oscar Goes To..."? I'd just gotten home from Super Bowl party, and was about to watch something else! and the credits started. I saw Don Siegel, J Carroll Naish and Dick Erdman's names, so my interest was piqued. (Naish playing an Italian accent like in Sahara). I didn't even know this short even existed! Came here to see any info about it and was surprised to know this is a fairly well known film...

Was wondering why it was shown in February, but then read that it won an Oscar for Best short.....and it is 30 Days Of Oscar! So happy I saw it!

I did! I was actually coming here to see if anyone else had. I thought it was a super charming/wholesome short. It made me feel good.

This is a beautiful, beautiful short film. J. Carrol Naish’s transformation from curmudgeon to a soft-hearted man is amazing. I just can’t see the Hollywood of today making something like this.

I’ve seen it a couple of times on TCM.
