Deserved Best Picture nomination

I'm a film buff and I've seen a lot of movies over the past five decades. I just seen this movie for the first time and it's one of the best films I've seen in a long time. I can relate to the family's struggles, the need to have faith to keep going forward, and so forth. This film deserved a nomination for Best Picture as well as a nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Bondi. I've known crotchety old people like her character and they're a pain in the neck as she was.

Instead of criticizing the film why not express why you enjoyed it? Who'd really want to see Betty Field without her face on? Movies have always been intended as an escapism.
