Don't find him so handsome but kind of deadpan?

Certainly not a flaw on hims face but not handsome.

Don't have a problem with his mask-like, stony-faced, inscrutable appearance as I do with his lack of charisma, which was a big drawback...he has little presence and comes off as such a dullard, so bland that one wonders how he could beguile anyone! And while attractive enough in an ethereal, delicate way which Wilde describes in his book, Hatfield is hardly the shockingly handsome Adonis whom Wilde depicts. And there's something off-putting and creepy about him, although that's not necessarily a bad thing given the eerie, otherworldly nature of the story. But someone like Tyrone Power, with his extraordinary, almost feminine handsomeness would have been much better suited physically for the part. Alain Delon would have been absolutely perfect with his breathtaking and elegant icy beauty (he was like the male version of Kelly/Deneuve), chilly and enigmatic persona, potent sensuality and incredible magnetism. He had a carnal, corrupted angel quality in spades that would've made for a divine Dorian.

I think he was very handsome and he was directed to act this way. I heard it was very hard for him NOT to smile all the time. This is the way the director wished him to be.

Wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was gonna make Espresso!
