You can buy it in amazon but not for a "decent price".

the DVD contains english and spanish subtitles.
The video is just "watchable". Anyway you still can enjoy the marvelous cinematography by Gabriel Figueroa, but the audio is in terrible shape.
Sadly there are not better DVD editions of this masterpiece.
Hopefully someday "Criterion" or Televisa itself will release a decent version of all the classic films by Emilio Fernández like María Candelaria, La perla, Flor Silvestre, Río Escondido, Salón México, Víctimas del pecado, Enamorada, Pueblerina, etc.
Gabriel Figueroa‘s camera work is amazing in this movie. It's still the best Steinbeck adaptation I’ve seen.
Simple. Black and White.
But not.
Complex because it is so clear.
And it’s been years since I’ve seen this and his images still linger.
I can still see myself watching it.
It was an out of body experience.
