I do believe that this was the first time that song was used in a film. Great scene, and marvelous song!

It's a 1935 or 1936 pop hit and I think the composers were British. This may have been the first time in a film. I dont know.

I like how before Robert enters the Navy this is the song playing as Cathy waits for him in their apartment singing 'An airline ticket to romantic places...' and Robert sings that line while on duty too. I quite enjoyed this movie, sweet and one of it's kind I just wish I could watch the 102 min version.
