Is this reported goof really correct?

Somebody put this in the goofs section:

When Selma gets up to recite her Christmas story in church she is wearing white ankle socks. When she is finished and returns to where she was sitting she is wearing long white stockings.

I replayed that scene several times just to make sure, but I saw no difference in the long white stockings (leggings) that Selma was wearing either before or after telling her Christmas story.

Unless there's some other print of the movie that's around...

You are correct--I watched that scene and never saw any short socks. Because it was in b&w I had a little trouble at first telling if she had any stockings. I wonder if the poster of the goof saw the wrinkles at the ankles and thought they were short socks. BTW, this is the most I have ever talked about a seven year old girl's stockings, and I hope never to again.

I rewatched the scene just now and you are correct. There is no goof there. I have asked the management to delete this from the goofs. Here is my explanation for the suggested deletion: "As several of us board posters have noted after watching the film, she has long white stockings on during that entire scene. There is no goof."

I guess we'll have to wait to see if they remove it.

Good News! The incorrectly reported Goof has been removed. I just watched movie today and checked the Goofs section regarding the socks. Case closed.
