The 'crazylegs' scene

The insane cellar wood-bin routine was perfectly recreated from the 1926 Sydney Chaplin film "The Better 'ole" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0016643/reference . I'm just seeing it now on TCM.

Not like borrowing/lifting that riotous old bit should matter...

I love it!

Here's the Murder,He Says/Fred MacMurray version:

I wonder if it inspired the only funny scene from Haunted Honeymoon, where Gene Wilder does a similar bit.

Good call! I just viewed the Wilder version, he does it perfectly. Never saw it before.

Wilder also does a similar scene in (with an dead man's arm) in Young Frankenstein. Always cracks me up.

I died watching that scene. "Keep a-sittin' rat where you are." Hilarious

Hope you recovered! I agree, it made me laugh out loud, and I don't do that often...
