I missed the beginning, but I did enjoy it due to Monty Woolley and Roddy McDowall (whom I've never before seen so young). The plot was nothing special, but sometimes a film is worth seeing for the performances.

Yea, some movies are...SIMPLY THE BEST like a Tina Turner song!
I liked it -- a cute, short farce typical of the 1940s movies meant to cheer people up. It was like watching a comedy stage play, with some really good lines. And Roddy McDowall was so young and earnest in it, a nice foil to the crazy, out-of-work troupe of actors.
