Sign of a true addict....nothing else gets in the way of the next fix. Besides, all of that rye whiskey may have soaked into his noodle and made it limp until further notice. I do agree, however, that not throwing one into Gloria was a bit "redic"!

Not "throwing one into"??? Wow. All I've ever dreamed of since I was a little girl was for some guy to "throw one into" me, like I'm some kind of receptacle. Gross.

In the book he is gay and can only have sex with women when s***faced. The screenwriter might have tried to translate that subplot of the book as booze-related impotence or something. But it only makes sense if he was on coke.
