Does this outfit go with my miscarriage?

One of my favorite moments: Ellen riffling through her wardrobe for just the right gown, peignoir, and matching satin heels to throw herself down the stairs in.

She even gives herself a thorough going-over in the mirror, polishing her scarlet lips, adjusting her collar just so, before heading for the landing.

Only Ellen would know how to dress for just such an occasion.

She's a one-woman killing machine: her father, Danny, her fetus, herself. I don't know why mom and Ruth were spared from the carnage.

reply

Ruth would have been part of the carnage had Ellen's dirty scheme worked.
Luckily, Richard finally grew a pair and revealed Ellen's true character in court.

She did not kill her father as in murder him. She smothered him with her love and probably seeing no escape from her possessiveness, he lost the will to live. Read the book too and there's nothing in the movie or book that hints that she caused her father's death intentionally.

She was willing to risk her life to get rid of the baby and women who commit suicide usually want to look good when they are found. Doesn't change the fact that Ellen was a total psycho.

You may not be here on this site, but you gave me my chuckle of the day!
Thank you butaneggbert, wherever you are! LOL!

There were some wonderful posts on that old forum! This is too funny!

reply

Absolutely! I still respond to them when I have something to say. The OP and many of the posters may not be on this site, but when I respond it gets the movie up in the trending bar. I'm always hopeful that others who are here will join me and talk.
I'm glad that you did!
