Lamest punches in film history?

Late in the movie while in Marvin Miller's living room, Marvin Miller and George Raft take a couple of swings at each other. Frankly, those are a couple of the phoniest looking "punches" I have ever seen in a movie.

Despite that weak moment I still enjoyed the film's atmosphere and suspense immensely. Just watched it for the first time on TCM.
