Strange Map in Briggs' Office

Near the end of the film there's a scene where you see part of a map of the United States on the wall in Briggs' office. The strange thing is that some of the states don't have their usual shapes. North and South Carolina are shaped differently and Georgia has no coastline. The map must show borders of colonies prior to the Revolution but I can't find a similar one online.
