Location of the 'House'
The real house was located at 55 East 93rd Street and Madison Avenue. The original building was torn down.

It was actually at 53 E 93rd St. Fairly late in the film, as Dietrich leaves the house in a car, Col. Hammersohn is walking toward the house. The camera pans to the left, showing an address of 51, then pans right again one address, where Hammersohn enters the building. So that must be 53.
And according to imdb.com, 53 was a filming location. In addition, on TCM, after the film finished airing, Robert Osborne pointed out that 53 has been demolished, but that its exact twin can still be seen next door at 55.
It is better to be kind than to be clever or good looking. -- Derek
