Margaret Hamilton was so funny in this

Loved the part where she pried the axe off the wall and hurled it.

I thought thst was too funny watching that half crazed sister, short and homly, thinking she was protecting her brother ! She was a pretty good aim ( if she indeed hurled it herself!)

Her whole performance just reeks of comic genius, from her first confrontation with Joan Davis to her fall after the sandbag hits her. Her eyes stayed open the whole time and she just gracefully slid to the floor. I first saw this over 20 years ago and thought that the lobster was going to pinch her. Then, in the scene with Fritz Feld where she blushes and says very girlish like, "Oh you're just saying that to be nice." So many dimensions in what could have been a one dimensional obnoxious characterization made so enjoyable by a very versitile actress.

"Great theater makes you smile. Outstanding theater may make you weep."
