Costume

I recently viewed this film for the first time as a new fan of Yvonne de Carlo's achievements.

In Frontier Gal only Rod Cameron ,among the men, wore gloves (leather and suede) almost all the way through. Yvonne de Carlo wore them during the final scenes.

Does anyone have an opinion or an explanation?

Probably to prevent burns from ropes or reins while handling horses.
A horse is a big, powerful animal that tends to be skittish. If you are holding its reins and it pulls away from you it can leave burn marks on your hands. Cameron spent a lot of time horseback in the film. Jockeys wear gloves for the same reason.
