I just wanted to ask if anyone else got a real Black Dahlia vibe from this movie. If you don't know what that is, a film loosley based on it is coming out soon. But it was mainly in the plot of a waitress and a mystery and that whole thing. Any thoughts?

Yes, the Black Dahlia murder happened around this time and involved a similar character to Darnell i.e. loose living woman living alone, eking out a living. Also they both had similar hairstyles and color of hair. How vulnerable both women were, but they played with fire.
