Poem Recited by Faye to Andrews

Does anyone know the title/author of the poem Alice Faye recites to Dana Andrews? Thank you.

I wondered about this too, McK. After some internet research, the poem's origin appears to be "unattributed." So I guess the screenwriter, Harry Kleiner, was the author...or was it from the novel written by Marty Holland? In either case, those are amazing words.

Has someone typed the text of the poem? I'd like to read it.

"We are born to tread the Earth as angels
to seek out Heaven this side of the sky.
But they who race alone shall stumble in the dark and fall from grace.
Then love alone can make the fallen angel rise
for only two together can enter paradise".
