I think this movie is top notch. This movie moves right along. Great characters. I thought it was interesting to see the police abuse presented openly, as it is in the news so much today.

What abuse are you talking about? Police defending themselves against assault, as in the assassination of five Dallas officers last year and other murders and attacks on officers? Not to say that in the forties police abuse was not widespread; it was. But Supreme Court decisions granting right to counsel and protection against self incrimination (Gideon, Miranda) have fortunately greatly improved the situation since the 1960s.
