Abel Keyes?

I have a question about one of the details in this movie:

Falcon finds a picture of the deceased Nurse Keyes husband, Abel, which leads him to the shipping company run by DeForest. Later when he and Goldie are helping to unload cargo off the Citadel, they find the first mate, who claims to be Keyes but apparently isn't. Later, Falcon says to DeForest something like, "So you know about Keyes?" "Yeah, I couldn't let you know though." So what happened to the real Abel Keyes? Was he the butler, Loomis, helping his wife watch the kids?
